Abstract
The glycogen content in abdominal scent glands of H dentatus is of the order of 1082 pag|100 whereas in metathoracic scent glands of H. diniatus is 733 ag|100 mg. It shows a high value glycogen content in abdominal scent glands than in metathoracic scent glands. The total pro content is 39% in abdominal scent gland and 30% in metathoracic scent glands of H. de la The free aminoacids are 784 pig 100 mg in abdominal scent glands of nymphs and 551 ag/100 mg in metathoracic scent glands of adults. It may indicate that the nymphs have the greater me bolic rate than the adult bugs.
