Abstract
The insecticidal activity of different solvents extract of Clerodendrum inerme (L.) Gaertn.was investigated against Achaea janata L. The highest and lowest dry extracts weight was obtained from methanol and water, which produced 2.12g and 0.64g, respectively. The different solvents extract treatments differed significantly in their efficacy. The 10% extract prepared from aqueous and chloroform revealed lowest (30.00%) and highest (73.33%) larval mortality respectively when ompared to other solvents extract. Further, larval duration was increased with the treatment of 5% alcohol and chloroform extracts. The total mortality from the chloroform and alcohol extracts was superior over the synthetic pyrethroid, fenvalerate.
