Abstract
Ageratum conyzoides extracts were found to have high inhibitive activity on food consumption rate against Oxya hyla nymphs. It was also found that the extracts reduced the food utilization efficiencies of the nymphs by influencing food consumption and assimilation rate, which in turn influenced the energy allocation to respiration. This caused reduced growth and finally death of the nymphs.
