Abstract
A field experiment was conducted in the tarm of birsa agricultural university. Ranchi in paired plot design during 2004-OS to assess the loss in yield caused by hudlly. Dasimq,rc, ¡ini Barnes infesting linseed var. Neelum. the results revealed that late sown (161h Nov.) crop was found (o be suffered from loss in seed yield us higher as 56.22 percent (i.e. 8.02 q/ ha) as against the substantiallylower loss in seed yield to the ILInC 0124.47 percent (i.e. 3.54 q/ ha) recorded from the early sown (l November) crop due to attack of budlly (D. ¡lin) in the agro climatic condition of Ranchi (Jharkhand).
