Abstract
A new species of Bruchophagus Ashmead viz. B. rexus Narendran sp. nov... that emerged from the leaf galls of Ficus bengalensis is reported from Kerala. The new species is described, illustrated and affinities with their closed relatives are also discussed. This new species differs from the related species distinctly in the following combination of characters : the sculpture on frons, size of scape and antennal club, colour of legs and absence of median carina on propodeum.
