Abstract
Chaetothyrium species causes sooty mould disease in mulberry affecting foliage productivity and quality. The infestation progressively depletes chlorophyll content of leaf. Different races combinations of silkworm, Bombyx mori L (Lepidoptera : Bombycidae) fed on sooty mould affected leaf suffered significant deterioration in economic parameters in cocoon crop. The mulberry disease affects growth parameters in silkworm and causes delay in larval life.
