Abstract
Analysis of major biochemical components of two different species of genus Gyrodactylus collected from H. fossilis (Bloch) and C. punctatus (Bloch), showed marked differencesinglycogen, protein, lipid, DNA and RNA levels. It is concluded that biochemical parameters can be employed successfully as a diagnostic tool in taxonomic categorization.
