Abstract
A survey of ixodid tick was carried out in four valley districts of Manipur during January-December, 2004. The cattle tick Boophilus microplus (Canestrini, 1888) was recorded infesting on cattle throughout the year. The percentage of infestation of tick was recorded more in third quarter of the year (i.e July-September) and maximum tick population was recorded in Bishenpur district.
