Abstract
All the four insecticides tested against groundnut leafhoppers proved effective. Imidacloprid 200 SL 4. 200 nil per ha and dimethoate showed quick knock down effect and the mean leafhopper population reduced up to 68.03 and 65.48 per cent respectively. Similarly in second spray among the insecticidal treatments. imidacloprid 200 SL 200 ml per ha and acetamprid 20 SP 100 ml per hectare showed quick knock down effect and the mean population reduced up to 72.24 and 71.25 per ha with the population of 1.13 and 1.00 per terminal three leaves/ plant, respectively, after the second treatment. Indigenous materials showed least population reduction except NSKE 5% showed 38.54 mean per cent reduction. So. Imidacloprid showed best results among the insecticides.
