Abstract
Experiments were carried out at the Research Farm of Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar, India during Rabi 2022-23 and 2023-24 to screen linseed germplasm against bud fly, Dasyneura lini (Barnes). A total of 150 genotypes screened out for resistance against bud fly, Dasyneura lini, and were categorized. Out of them, 118 germplasm were resistant, 28 germplasm were moderately resistant and 03 germplasm moderately susceptible to bud fly infestation. Among the screened germplasm, the lowest bud fly infestation (0.45%) was recorded in BRLS 111-2, whereas the highest infestation (33.99%) was observed in LCK 2224. In contrast, the infestation level in the susceptible check variety, Neelum, ranged from 24.32% to 51.19%.The resistant germplasm observed against bud flies may be used as donor parents in the multiple resistance breeding programme of linseed.
