Abstract
Anchitremia sanguineum is a common parasite of the Chameleon zeylanicus. The cytological studsy of parasites revealed the diploid number of chromosomes to be 2n = 20. First pair of chromosome is metacentric and remaining 9 pairs are telocentric. Observations reported here for the first time demonstrate the mitotic and meiotic charomosomes and delineate the morphology of spermatogonial metaphase chromosomes.
