Abstract
The present paper deals with the description of a new species of the family Camalanidae Railliet et Henry, 1915 from the intestine of marine fish Lutjanus russelli (Bleeker) from Kakinada, A.P. The specimens do not agree with the description of known species of the genus Procamalanus, hence a new species Procamallanus lutjanusi has been erected to accomodate the present specimen. The new species could be distinguished by body measurements, number of spiral thickenings, length of spicules, number and arrangement of caudal papillae and position of vulva.
