Abstract
Ageratum conyzoides extracts showed bioactivity against Oxya hyla by killing, reducing the normal life duration and inhibiting its molting behaviour. After treatment with methanol extract, molting was totally inhibited in all insects treated. It was also found that the extract killed the insects well before the time frame of the experiment. Aqueous extract, however, showed similar results but at lesser activity on treating with the same concentrations.
