Abstract
A number of experiments were conducted to evaluate the toxicity of some insecticides by bio-assay method against the insect pest, Rhizopertha dominica (Fabr.) (Bostrychidae : Coleoptera). The decreasing order of relative toxicity of insecticides in dermal application were fenvelerate (2.09) > malathion (1.25) > Virat (1.16) > profenophos (1.00). The order of relative toxicity in oral application were fenvelerate (2.90) > profenophos (1.48) > Virat (1.01) > malathion (1.00).
