Abstract

The common name of Teratodes monticollis (Gray 1832) is the hooded grasshopper. The distribution of this species has been reported from the various regions of India, Ceylon, and Burma. However, the extant reports are extremely limited to records from various Indian states. The current study conducted on the occurrence of T. monticollis from Vadodara and, for the first time, an observational study on its mating behaviour from Gujarat, India.
