Abstract
Feeding trial with N X G, N X P5 and P5 x NB18 silkworm hybrids for evaluation of eight high yielding mulberry varieties - S1, S799, S1635, S1708, C1726, C1729, C1730 and C1733 of CSR & TI, Berhampore, West Bengal were done during favourable season (February- March) and unfavourable season (August) over a period of three years 1991, 1992 and 1993. It is revealed from the experiment that the varieties S1, S1635 and C1730 showed better performance in regards to some economic cocoon characters of NX G, Nix P5 and P5 x NB18 during both unfavourable and favorable SeaSO1.
