Abstract
Lepidoptera are side known as moths and butterflies with their caterpillars as polyphagous pests and widely distributed in a hears globally. Besides these, there have been a group of smaller moths called as the Microlepidopters ch had the moths of utmost importance. They are of evolutionary significance forming the basa se i for the origin of Lepidoptera of higher orders and, are the pests of different agroecosystems and fores. The Microlepidoptera are popularly known as the leaf-miners, leaf-rollers etc.
