Abstract
Larvae of toad, Bufo fergusonii were fed on six food types at limb bud stage for 15 days in Group 1 to Group 6. Consisted of spinach, albumin yolk, beet root, beet root leaves and algae, feeding of larvae with animal and plant products significantly affected growth, differentiation and metamorphosis. Animal protein and yolk accelerated growth and metamorphic changes while plant leaves and algae inhibited growth, morphogenesis of limbs and metamorphosis.
