Abstract

A species of phoretic mite Sennertia leucothorae associated with carpenter bee Xylocopa leucothorae from Idukki district of Kerala is redescribed based on the morphological features of phoretic deutonymph. Specimens were examined, illustrated, compared with previous descriptions and anomalous features evaluated for redescription.
