Abstract

The present study deals with the study of seasonal changes of density and diversity of zooplankton in Khanwari pond of district Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh. The work was carried out for a period of one year from January to December, 2019. A total 24 genera of zooplankton belonging to 13 families and 5 groups were identified. Out of 24 genera, 8 were Rotifers, 7 Cladocerans, 5 Copepods, 2 Ostracodans and 2 Ciliates. The annual density showed that Rotifers dominates and constituted 42.77% of the total zooplankton population, followed by Cladocerans (32.77%), Copepods (12.97%), Ciliates (6.00%) and Ostracodans (5.49%).
