Abstract

There has been an increasing emphasis on scientific investigations in various parts of the world and forensic entomology has emerged as a major discipline. However, we need complete information about the carrion insect community of a particular area to be able to use these insects as forensic indicators. A list of eight species of ants collected from rabbit carcasses during successional studies is given along with relevant notes about each species.
