Abstract
Studies made on Barilius bendelisis the hillstream fish, in different seasons of the year 1991-92, showed that various blood values viz. TEC, Hb, PCV, Blood glucose, urea, and cholesterol values rose during summermonths. Lowest value of all parameters were recorded in the winter months, when ambient temperature was quite low and food scarce. This shows that blood parameters are altered by intrinsic as well as extrinsic factors.
