Abstract

The influence of photoperiod and temperature on the biology of Tuberculatus nervatus Chakrabarti and Raychaudhuri was conducted inside the laboratory. The three different light regimes viz. LD 8: 16, 12:12 and 16:8 were used and at each light regimes the aphid, T. nervatus on Quercus serrata Thunb. leaves were subjected to temperature 24-28°C and 10-14°C. The mean number of days for nymphal development at 24-28°C and 10-14°C. The oviparous female was also obtained when the aphid exposed to LD 8:16 at 10-14°C.
