Abstract
Impact of vision on post embryonic development and energetic parameters, such as, consumption, absorption conversion and metabolic rate, net conversion efficiencies and predatory value of Rhynocoris marginiatus Fabr. was assessed in three categories of test individuals viz. (a) normal (control), (b) one eye blocked and (c) both eyes blocked (experimental). Eye blocking reduced the stadial period and negatively affected consumption, absorption, conversion metabolic rate and predatory value.
