CAMALLANUS KOLLERENSIS N. SP. (NEMATODA : CAMALLANIDAE) FROM THE STOMACH OF FRESHWATER FISH, CHANNA STRIATUS (BLOCH)

Abstract
Camalanus kollerensis in. sp. (Camallanidae Railliet et Henry, 1915) from the stomach of freshwater fish, Channa striatus (Bloch) from Kolleru Lake (Andhra Pradesh) has been described. The description is based on two male and two female specimens from a large number of hosts examined. The new species is characterized by body measurements, in the nature of tridents, position of nerve ring and excretory pore, position and length of spicules, number and arrangement of caudal papillae, vulva position, structure of tail end and rectal glands present.
