Abstract
Changes in acid phosphatase acitivity under 10% vegetable oil factory effluent stress during exposure and deprevation periods were studied in Cyprinus carpio. During exposure, the enzyme actitivity increased in serum and gills but decreased in liver. A gradual recovery was observed in serum and liver while in gills it was faster when the fish were placed intoxicant-free waterfor deprevation studies. The probable reasons are interpreted and discussed in the light of previous literature.
