Abstract

Djombangia indica (Satpute & Agarwal, 1974) is an unsegmented cestode belonging to the order Caryophyllaeidea and family Lytocestidae. Specimens of D. indica have been collected from freshwaterfish Clarias batrachus (Bloch) in the river Nagavaliin and around Srikakulam (Dt) A.P. A total number of 329 hosts have been examined and the infection rate is high from January to July and low from August to December.
