Abstract
Cercopid nymphs construct spittle nests in which they remain protected. They exhibit very little movement. The mode of living in the adults is striking departure from that of nymphs where the adults are so alert and such prodigious jumpers. The adults have the interesting habit of ranging themselves in rows on the branches as is commonly observed in Clovia quadridens.
