Abstract

Studies have been made on the predatory behaviour of C. striatus (BI.) towards vector snail, L. acuminata (L.). It was found that fishes of 7-9 cms length consumed snails upto 9 mm length. Rate of predation of a particular size of snail increased with increase in the length of fishes and thus smaller the length of snails higher was the consumption rate.
