Abstract

Newly evolved productive bivoltine silkworm hybrid CSR2 x CSR5 rearing was conducted with different levels of feed cut (10, 20, 30, 40%) during the 5th instar. The rearing performance and disease incidence was recorded. The result indicated that the cocoon characters were deteriorated and susceptibility to disease incidence was increased with the increase in feed cut. All the rearing parameters were significantly improved and disease incidence was reduced, with optimum feed.
