Toxicity of Mercuric chloride (HgCl) and Methyl mercuric chloride (CH, HgCl) in catfish, M. vitatus was studied Effects of different concentrations on respiratory metabolism of catfish were also determined. It was found that sub-ethal concentration of both the substances lowered the oxygen consumption values.
