Abstract
Though the activities of both the aminotransferases, in overall terms, increase during the growth of different larval instars of C. septemperata, yet GO-activity predominates. The first 12 hours of prepupal life show low level of these two enzymes, but it rises during the latter part of the prepupal life. During the first 64 hours of pupal life, the level of GOT and GPT falls steadily, but it rises during the interval extending between 68 to 96 hours of pupal life. Subsequently, the specific activities of both the transaminases go on increasing till 192 hours of pupal life with the exception of a sudden dip, which it shows at 108 and 120 hours of pupal development.
