Abstract
Biocoenology of some apterygote insects (collemboles, dipleurons, proturons) inhabiting the different types of soil at Aligarh, have been studied. Quantitative and qualitative variations have been observed and have been correlated with some abiotic and biotic factors. More than one abiotic factors (temperature, moisture, bicarbonates, nitrogen) appear to control the qualitative abundance of the soil apterygotes.
